12/23 - Two temporary hashing fixes that have been working for the last 24 or so hours. First one is a simple core edit that is easy enough to do. Second fix uses an Activation script. A third fix is the newest version of Pitou. At least this is becoming interesting again. Update: Or just get SLE 3.4 released tonight by PGM

12/21 - Damn that was quick. SLE 3.3 is getting hashed now

12/19 - Is your emu being hashed? Too bad for you captain. Actually all you need is an updated cor file that has all 67 updates since they are not currently in the stream. Update: That wasn't the problem. All I know is mine was working without problems until I stopped the emu and restarted it with the same USW67 core. It may be a USW update. If your computer was on it would have taken the update sometime today (like mine did). The update may have been removed from the stream and you would lose that update unless you saved your cor file. Stopping and starting the emu would put you back to USW67 (or wherever your USW was last saved at) and there may be hashing on anything with less than USW68. Just a guess. Updated update: Forget that theory. No clue what the hell is happening right now

11/24 - SLE 3.2 has been released by PGM. It adds support for UltimateTV and has some minor bug fixes

11/16 - Hash for HU's which are being set up for kills. Business as usual

10/19 - Nothing new this month. HU's are still doomed (but when?). Emulators still work. No more WWF PPV's= suck

09/16 - Monthly update to confirm that.... nothing is happening in DSS land. Except for the ECM on WWF PPV's as of right now

08/19 - SLE 3.1 has been released by PGM

08/12 - Current HU hacks still use scripts waiting to be ECM'd. Emulators work. No more news for this slow (thankfully) summer

06/27 - After 10 days of not being hashed, HU's are being bitch slapped once again. If you have basic Linux knowledge and wanna try new emulator software check this out

06/15 - HU's are starting to get hashed. If you have one, pull it out before an ECM hits

05/15 - USW 64-67 were added yesterday so if you're running an emu and want to save the updates press capital S. If you're using a non-standard core name (i.e. core.bin) you'll want to backup your file and then COPY the newly updated SLE44E_P.COR to YOURFILE.EXT. If you have my boot disk just save the core as above, then quit the emu with capital Q and type UPDATE and press ENTER. When the floppy quits accessing restart the emu by typing TV and press ENTER

05/03 - Since I haven't written anything here for a month I'll just say that nothing is happening right now. Pros: TV can be watched uninterrupted; Cons: One day something is gonna happen

04/04 - A new unlooper script called Turbo Unloop (by AOL6945) for use in WinExplorer 4.5 is out and appears to be the most complete unlooper software currently available. From BS cards to cards that were once thought dead, it fixes almost everything and does it quickly

04/02 - HU emulators are out and around. I don't think they do anything besides data logging but I haven't tried one myself. The readme from one of them says a P233 is the minimum required computer. Check HackHU (link removed) for more info

03/29 - HU's went down sometime this afternoon. In other news, there is supposedly a script fix for the bitched out bootloaders

03/27 - Bootloaders started getting buggered yesterday. There are no glitch-free solutions besides emulators and HU3M's. Have fun 

03/21 - Dynaceptor (from 02/22 note below) is being targeted right now from what I've read. I don't care because I'm an emulatorer. If that sounds elitist, take a look at two squirts of piss and know that I care less than that

03/15 - PGM made an appearance in the #emulator channel on irc.uchatnet.com to clear up recent rumours about the continuation of SLE. To summarize, he is going to try an experiment. He is asking that dealers (not customers) send a portion of their emulator related sales (emu boards, BS boards, programmers, unloopers, etc.) as a donation

03/12 - The HU Atmel code is out so you can flash your unloopers and apply a 3M. Apparently the script cannot be removed from the card so once it's hit you're SOL. Check it out at HackHU (link removed) or The Pirate's Den

03/11 - HU code to load on your Atmel chips coming soon? Check HackHU (link removed) for info and updates. For those who don't wanna emulate you can check into this. I won't be for whatever that's worth

03/09 - Royce at Dishnewsonline.com reports that PGM will no longer support SLE due to dealers making money off what he made available as freeware. Hopefully this turns out to be false

02/22 - There's a script called Dynaceptor for cards that were not affected by the Black Sunday ECM. It is immune from the current ECM in the datastream (until DTV decides to target it). It'll work for a while but is NOT a long-term substitute for emulation

02/13 - Interesting note on Pirate Den (Feb. 10 item) regarding possible alternative solutions to the ECM

02/10 - My emulator is up and running. Followed the Zapulator02 schematic and wired the emu board straight into my RCA DRD302RA receiver. Surprisingly it worked on the first try. Much thanks to Jeff for the soldering and hardware research and to PGM for making the software to run it all

02/05 (pt. 2) - Unlooper fix for H-cards? I haven't tried it so I don't know if it works or not. Here (link removed) it is if you're interested

02/05 - If anyone cares I've decided to set up an emulator. There are no other options right now. Maybe there will be an option in a while but cable sucks NOW. Hopefully most people won't want the hassle of an emulator and give up on DSS. New phone call file added here

02/03 - Bootloader boards for ECM'd H's are supposedly working now. Plans for the Mikobu build are here. If these do in fact work, your best bet is to get one of these boards and get an emulator. If you don't want the hassle of an emulator and wanna take your chances again, good luck

02/01 - No definite fixes for H-cards yet. There may be some 'bootloader' boards soon, but who the hell knows. If you have to watch TV right now, your only choices are an HU or an emu

01/29 - Schematics for a board that can get your dead H-card working again. Does it work? I have no clue. Get the plans here if you want
